How long after a successful sell on Ebay should you expect a payment from the buyer??

I sold a couple of items on ebay and on top of the horrible communication from the buyers, I still haven't received payment. I had not sold on ebay for about 6 months, and I know they used to have a section where you could choose a time period in which you expected payment but that is not on there anymore. So how long should I wait? What should I do?

  1. on all of my items that i put on there in the discription i say that if i havn't recieved payment within seven days i will relist it

  2. I wouldn't wait more than a week without continuing  to contact the buyers.  After that notify them (email, phone or however you're able) that you must receive payment by (pick a time frame) or the auction item goes back for sale.

Check eBay's  Contact Us page to see if there is a place to file a documented complaint.  If  so let the buyers know that you've done that.  That way they they'll know you're serious and either pay or (hopefully) let you know they don't want the item.

If they purchased through PayPal notify them about your non-payment issue (if they have a section for that).

If the sale wasn't through PayPal it might be a good idea to set up an account for future sales you want to make.  That way the problem you have is less likely to occur.

    All the best to you!
