if your yorkie have 4 pups , should you see 4 placenta's follow after each pup?

  1. The vet would tell you this, if you were on the phone with them - which you should be. Now.


  2. yes. they will have one for each puppy.

  3. The placenta normally passes after the pup or at some point before the next pup and it is important to account for each placenta. If one is retained, it can cause an infection. You should take your dog into the vet for an exam after she is finished whelping (usually the following day) and he will determine if she needs a shot of oxytocin to help her pass any remaining placentas or not.  

  4. Yes. And if you haven't you need to get your dog to a vet. You should have known this long before she went into labor and before she was bred.

    ADD: Get off YA call your local E vet if your regular vet is not open.  They will advise you on what to do. Are you sure she was only having 4 pups?
