How long after an Insurance adjuster looks at your car?

about how many days after the insurance adjuster takes a look at your wrecked car would it take until you receive a check? (also i have an attorney working on the case)

  1. Since you have an attorney working on your case that you are paying to answer your questions, ask him.


  2. adjuster seen car? if in fact did aproximately 7-14 days. Also depends cause there is an attorney working with case. They love to work slow:p  

  3. Depends on the situation. If liability is not accepted and the investigation is on going.....no payment will be made until the investigation is completed and liability confirmed.

    If the car is a total loss - they have to make an offer and reach an agreement on the value of the car first. Then there is paperwork to be signed.

    Also --if it's all running through your lawyers office -- that can slow things down.

    Since you have hired an attorney-- you will be paying him 1/3 to 1/2 of any settlement you get. That's a pretty big chunk. As such, you really should direct your questions to the attorney or case manager/paralegal handling your case. That's what you are paying them for.

    Since they are taking a big chunk of any settlement you get --- might as well make them earn it.
