How long after baby is born will he have a full exam check up?

  1. Your pediatrician will probably be called by the hospital (if that is where you plan on having the baby) and will check out the baby in the first day and probably before he/she is released by the hospital.  My son's pediatrician had to sign him out before we were able to leave the hospital.  Then a follow up appointment will generally be scheduled within the first couple of weeks after the birth.  That part depends on your pediatrician.  


  2. My first was one week, the second was two weeks I think.  

  3. With my first, he had to be seen at the pediatrician 7-10 days after birth.
