I'm 22 & been bulimic for about 3 years. At the height of my bulimia (about 2 years ago) I was purging a few times a week, but I started seeing a therapist and have gotten continuously better this last year. I go weeks/months without binging and purging now. However, I did this weekend, and now two of my teeth in the back are throbbing in pain. The filling on my very back tooth(that I got 10+ years ago) fell out the other day, but there was no pain, and I didnt assume it was related to the acid exposure. Im really worried that I may have done damage to my teeth and might need something severe, like a root canal. I'm not covered medically, so I cringe and even going to the dentist to check it out due to her high fees. I take care of my teeth, and I just assumed that people who have tooth complications from bulimia have suffered with the disease for years and years, or at least at a more severe level then I have. Is it stupid to assume this could be a toothache and the pain will pass?
