  1. You can eat them immediatly, but they won't be strong for a few weeks!

    You can speed the process a bit by taking an extremely clean wire brush and poking holes in the cukes. Manufacturers use this technique!

  2. I wait at least ten days even if I really want 'em.

    Of course, it won't do you any harm to eat them earlier, they'll just taste more like salty cucumbers in vinegar than they will taste like pickles.
