Question:

How long after getting off the depo shot can i expect to start loosing all the weight i put on?

I was previously on the depo when i was 18 but i got off and tried the pill but they kept making me sick so I went for about two years without birth control but it was no big deal because wasn't havent s*x but then I got bak on the depo in jan and its has caused me to gain some weight. my shot is due soon but im not going to take it because i feel like im only gettin bigger. I try and work out at least 3x a week sometimes just 2 for 45min but i do eat pretty healthy.

  1. Sorry, but you can't completely blame your weight gain on the shot. It may have cause *a little* weight gain from the different hormones but ultimately its mostly just personal habits and routines that caused it.



    It's great that you're eating healthy and exercising, but 2-3 times a week for 45 minutes isn't exactly enough to lose weight. Get off of depo, continue to eat healthy, and try to work out 4-5 times a week for an hour each time and you should be seeing results! And maybe after a while try a different form of birth control like the patch or nuva-ring.
