How long after having a baby can you offer a bottle without them losing their sucking reflects?

My pediatrician said that that was a myth, babies will always know how to suck, what happens in over time of using a bottle, sometimes the baby gets lazy and since sucking a bottle is easier than breastfeeding they will develop a preference for it. I just got the slow stage nipples and used them through 7 months old until she started her sippy cup. You can introduce the bottle/binky as soon as you feel ready to do so :)

as soon as they are born, my daughter had to have one in the hospital and she was a great brestfeeder and she didn't loose and sucking reflex
