How long after.........???

How long after you apply online for a job (online application) does the employer usually call?

I applied at Lowes and Walgreens. Does anyone work at these places, and how long before you received a call?

My boyfriend worked at Walgreens.  It took about 2 weeks to respond back.  Sometimes they don't even respond back to you.  The best thing is to try and find paper applications, if they supply them.  Either way, they aren't really trusted for getting back to you with even a rejection.

Unfortunately with the big companies, your resume goes to the corporate office data base and the chances of them calling you are slim to none.  My advice is to go to your local Lowes or walgreens and speak to the manager or HR manager (at Lowe's). Get a personal email addy and send your resume directly to them.

My hubby worked at Home Depot, and the ONLY way he got in was by contacting the Regional Manager for our area
