How long after.........

Question

having my baby and him being circumsized can I give him a regular bath instead of a sponge bath? And if you say when it heals how do I tell if its healed?

My son was healed by 2 weeks.  It never really looked bad to me so I didn't even know it was healed.  But the pediatrician said it was healed and looked good so I put him in the bath at about 2 weeks.

When it does bleed anymore.  Wait as long as you can because it could stop bleeding, then start again a few days later.  So make sure there is no blood int the diaper.

My son's circumcision healed before his cord fell off.  As soon as the cord falls off, he can get a bath in a baby tub rather than the sponge bath.  You can tell when his circ heals when it's pink rather than red.

Wait until after the umbilical cord falls off and the circumcision site is pink and not red.
