How long after s*x can you take a pregnancy test?

i have just had my period and so haven't been taking the pill for at least a week. my period had ended when i had s*x. i am concerned about potentially being pregnant, how long should i wait to take a pregnancy test? keeping in mind that i have just had my period

I agree with military wife - chances are very slim that you are pregnant, but take a test a few days before your next period.

chances of being preg (w/o symptoms) are slim.  u weren't ovulating yet.  u shoud wait until about a week b4 ur next period.  that's the earliest u can test, and u may get a false neg if u take it that early.  do it the day b4 ur next period for accurate results.  hope this helps

You're on the pill? If you've been taking them all correctly you're probably not pregnant. Keep taking them, even after your break. If you're talking about the s*x you just had, then it would take at least 2 weeks afterwards for a test to show up positive.
