How long after starting an antibiotic for something does it take make you start feeling better.

Do you usually start feeling better in one day after starting on an antibiodc for something?

  1. antibiotics taken orally will start working after an hour. Antibiotics given by injection IM or IV will work immediately.


  2. They say normally 2-3 days.

  3. I find with myself and my four children that we start to get better at about the 24 hour mark.  This has been the case for pneumonia, strep throat, urinary track infection and ear aches.
