How long after u joint the UMCS do u get your US citizenship?

I try looking everywhere but i cant find it!, the recruiter said it was 6 months.

If you are a legal permanent resident of the United States, your joining the military expedites your path to citizenship. But as you see in the other answers, check with Citzenship and Immigration Services. If you are not a legal permanent resident of the US, you aren't legally allowed to join the US military.
