How long after you drink can people smell liqour on you

Question

I know that the liqour gets absorbed into your blood and then comes out your pores and that's why people can smell it on you. I need to know cause my mormon parents are visiting tomorrow and if they smell liqour its like a 3 hour lecture about god and getting damned to h**l and stuff. They kinda anounced that they were coming last minute. And i had poker night planned tonight and was going to be drinkin vodka. And need to know if they'll smell the vodka on me the next day.

Just get a breath mint, i was a UT Mormon and when I was a jackmormona nd lived with my parents and went out with some friends and my parents watched my kids and I came back drunk as a skunk, my Dad had no idea. If you can compose yourself, like I did, and the breath mint covers up the smell you should be OK, if your mormon parents have never drank, they will never know. Just take a shower, unless your parents have a keen sence of smell, I wouldn;t worry about it. I even went to a fair with my parents and we split up and I drank a beer and they never figured it out.

Vodka is not a problem ... As long as they don't give you a breathalyzer... Vodka is what people drink when they don't want anyone to smell it on them. Don't worry about someone smelling it  from your sweat .. , the hardest thing is to get it off your breath , it stay's in your saliva ... that's why drunks have stale alcohol breath.

Dang!  I really feel for ya.  Don't worry man, if you shower and eat you are going to be completely fine.  If you sweat, its not gunna be an issue unless you drink like the entire bottle.  If your super paranoid just chew some gum and put on cologne.  But if your so paranoid that you think they will be suspicious if you smell like anything but just plain soap ditch the scented stuff and just eat.  They wont pick up on it unless you act like you have something to hide.  Convince yourself that you did nothing wrong and they will be none the wiser.  Its usually our guilty conscious that gives us away.  Good luck!

The trick is not to pour it all over yourself. Then they can't smell it.

It can be days, depending on how much you drank. My best advise is to admit you did something wrong and not wear any! of the same clothes as when you were drinking eh

It is possible, but not likely!   It will all depend on the amount of alcohol you consume, and the time-table between when you drink and when they arrive.  I'd suggest 12 hours between your last drink and when they arrive at a minimum......to be on the safe side.   And.....don't get snozzzle-faced!!!!   Keep it to a minimum.    

Only other thing would be to not "sweat", as you are correct that it can be expelled through sweat glands.
