How long after you gave birth was it before you had s*x/stopped bleeding?

I gave birth almost 3 weeks ago and am just wondering how long you bleed for after giving birth? I lost pretty much all desire to be intimate when i was pregnant but now its like my body is making up for it now and i want to have s*x but think its GROSS to do it while im still bleeding.

I'm 4 weeks past-partum and my bleeding just subsided..The only reason I haven't had the much wanted s*x is because I still have stitches..But as soon as they're out...Anywho-good luck to you and congrats on your new baby!

well you shouldn't have s*x until at least 6 weeks post partum...or until you have your post partum check up.  

I bled for almost 5 weeks.  And then didn't have s*x for almost 3 months afterwards.  I was still very soar.

you should wait 6 weeks to have s*x just so everyting has time to go back to normal and the wanting to have s*x is your hormones i know it is hard to wait but this is also the time that you can get preggo very easy
