How long after you get your lip pierced can you change the ring?

I'd like to get my lip pierced but I need to know how long after it's safe to put in a clear retainer for work. Thanks!

i think its like 2 or 3 months..........not sure

made sure it's 6-8 weeks for it to cure

I had my lip pierced a long time ago, but I think anything to do with the mouth heals up pretty quickly. I might wait about a week or so to change it, but I think your best bet is to call the place you're getting it pierced & ask them how long you have to wait. If you need to hide it right away for work maybe they can pierce it & put the retainer in from the start until it heals.. but I'm not sure if they would want to do that..

Umm.... which lip? are you a sailor?

try looking on google or  before you get it pierced ask the person who is piercing it Or if a friend has one ask them!
