How long after your "calm before the storm" did you go into labor?

I'm due today and my little guy has been very inactive today. I'm hoping this is what they're calling the "calm before the storm" and he's resting up for the big event. How long did your "calm before the storm last" before having those horrible contractions? Thanks!

  1. congrats!!!!i wish you the best!!!! :))

    when are you do today?

  2. In my experience my babies have always been more active the weeks before they were born. But that's just me. If the baby hasn't been very active you might wan to get it checked out to make sure nothing is wrong.

  3. My first two children's movement slowed down about the day before I started having contractions. My third one never slowed down, moved during every contraction and broke them up (made me not realize they were so close and strong). You should start feeling contractions soon. You should still feel some movement from the baby but he/she won't be as active. Good luck!!

  4. Congrats!  I'm due today as well (Aug. 30th), yet my little guy seems to be all over the place!  I'm hoping that he'll be coming soon.  Good luck!!!

  5. Pourquoi demandez-vous

  6. Every baby and every pregnancy is different!!!

I would sit a while, maybe drink a cold orange juice and see if the little man wont give you a few good kicks.  You do still want to feel a good amount of movement everyday, especially after meals.

Some of mine were very active even during active labor, in fact my last seemed to be pretty upset over invasions of "her space" by my contractions!

On another note, remember 40 weeks is where they  put your due date, but 38 to 42 weeks is still normal gestation.  You are not over due until post 42 weeks.

Hope labor is smooth and quick!

    Blessings!
