  1. which ancestors? australiopithicus (cant spell) was about 5.8-1.9 million years ago, longer I think.

    the remains were found in Africa (eastern, ecntral and south)

Quite simply, no one knows for sure!.  I believe that any future Anthropologists, if, they are going to be worth their salt, need to start afresh. but begin with facts this time,  and keep all your facts separate from your theories and your suppositions, I also find it disgraceful, that a persons work should be rubbished simply because it did not fall in line with the accepted account of a story. These people support their theories simply by casting doubt and  scorn upon those who would contradict them. I could go on and on, but i hope you get the gist of what I am saying. Good luck.
