How long am I responsible for my child in Wisconsin?

I have been told until he's 18 and I have been told until he's out of high school. Does anyone know? May I turn my custody over to another adult?

Your responsible until he turns 18 unless a court order states otherwise. You could turn custody over to another adult but only if you have sole physical custody and its not contested by the other parent. If you pay child support for a child who is not living with this would not be an option.
