tip: the more you wear them, the less time you will have to wear them.

If you mean the type that go IN your mouth, you need to change them every day and it depends on how bad your bite is.

If you mean the type out of your mouth, get a new dentist because scaffolding will make you crazy.

anywhere from 6 weeks to 6 months, maybe longer.

If you wear them like the orthodontist tells you to, and exactly how he tells you to (not more. not less).. it'll be closer to 6-16 weeks...

i wore mine for around 16 weeks...

I know people that have passed the "due date" of when they're supossed to get their braces off b/c they don't wear their elastics.

until the ortho says so. its used to fix overbite problems. i had to wear them when i had braces. the cool part was i had colored ones so i could match my bands with my brackets
