How long are messages available on Yahoo! Groups

Question

I joined a group within the last six months, but I want to look at some messages from 2005 (per what I read on a blog of someone who belongs to that group), but I can't get to those messages. Are they only available for a short amount of time before they are deleted or can you only look at messages from the time you joined on?

their available forever- those that are missing, someone deleted them.
