  1. 6 Months I think

  2. What ever they tell you it will be held on a computer file for all time

  3. for every, if you do not get them sealed

  4. There on there for life sorry to say. i should know iv only had one offence and thats when i was 13 im 25 now and its still there sorry :-(

  5. I'm pretty positive they're expunged as soon as you turn 18.

  6. YOUR JUVIE RECORD IS THERE FOR ALL YOUR LIFE. YOU CAN HAVE THEM SEALED AT THE AGE OF 18. BUT THE D.A.'S OFFICE HAS ACCESS TO IT FOREVER. WHEN IT'S SEALED IT CAN'T BE USED AGAINST YOU UNLESS YOU BRING IT UP AT A TRIAL.

  7. The records are sealed but they are not destroyed.

  8. They are sealed when you turn 18.  But if you commit a murder 30 years later they will be brought up.  The records are kept FOREVER although they are sealed to the public when you turn 18.  If you never commit another offense, they will never see the light of day.

  9. If this is for the UK then the 'sealing' that our US counterparts are talking of does not apply.

In the UK they are kept forever on police files. After a certain period of time you do not need to disclose them (to prospective employers etc.) but they never disappear.

  10. (Australia) A police caution can only be given to young offender's who have committed minor crimes and have amited to it. It will be on police record only at the police station that you have been cautioned in, along with mug shots, fingerprints, DNA sampls etc. The police and courts only have access to it and it will not show up on criminal background check's for employment. It is to only be used in case the offender re-offends within 5 years. Once 5 years have passed the caution will be deleted along with any evildence like it never happend.

  11. I done jury Service some years ago, and when the Judge summed up for sentencing the offender, who was then in his 30's, the records read out whent back to when the offender was 11 years of age.

So I guess the records are kept for good.
