Question:

How long are your cycles on Clomid? (PCOS)?

I have PCOS, and this is my third month on Clomid. First month, no O, so my doctor put me on a week of Provera to induce a period. Second month, I O'd on CD 23, lots of BFN's later, and my doctor put me on another week of Provera so I could try again. My second cycle lasted 57 days.

I guess I assumed that taking Clomid would shorten my cycles... So, I'm wondering about your experiences. Thanks!

  1. You also need to take metformin in order to better regulate / shorten your cycle and help ovulate.  That is more effective in addressing the underlying PCOS condition by helping reduce insulin resistance.  You can also try a low-carb diet as well.

Cycles with clomid can vary depending on the person. If you indeed ovulated, the cycle shouldn't really be more than 35 days.

    Good luck.
