Question:

How long before Amazon will process your payment?

I just bought something online on Amazon. I can pay credit card bills online so does anyone know how long before my online service will recognize that I have a bill? Its been around 5 minutes, I'm just obsessing because this is my first time using a credit card. I'm looking for a rough estimate, should it take an hour? a day? a week?

Its also the most amount of money I've ever spent, so I want to pay it as soon as possible so I can stop worrying about it.

  1. In another few minutes you should be able to see it, the fastest I remember seeing my credit card amount is like 20 minutes or so.

  2. When you buy something from Amazon, they have an online credit card processing system that will

    - check if the card number is valid or not

    - check if your account has enough money

    - check for the expiration date

    And the payment goes through.

If you pay now, in a few minutes Amazon will send you an email that your order has went through and that you should expect another email for shipping notification
