  1. I used a First Response test today, when I should start my period Sunday night/Monday morning, so 5-6 days before.  It came back negative and I was disappointed, but I have some symptoms, and think I will wait until Sunday and test again.

If you test too early and get a negative, you might get disappointed for no reason, so I would recommend waiting until the day of or after your missed period.

  2. For the most accuracy pregnancy test 7 days after a missed period or 19 days after sexual intimacy. Early tests do not guarantee accuracy and can create confusion if you really are pregnant but not showing on an early test. You can also look to your body for pregnancy signs while you are waiting. 3. the day you miss it,you can take the test.

if you have a "perfect" cycle, then you can take the test 5 days before a missed period. (first response)

i prefer to save my money and test the day after my missed period.

  4. I tested positive on 7 days past ovulation.  I knew exactly when I ovulated, as I used OPK's, so I know when I conceived.  I used One Step brand internet strips, which are 15 mlU/ml sensitive (more sensitive than some chemist brands).

So, to answer your question, you can test 7 days before your period and get an accurate result.

    Goodluck!
