I don't know if I asked the question properly but since my SS number ends in 98 does anyone have any idea how long before a check would be sent to me. Do you have any idea as to how far they have proceeded in the numbers?? Your answer will be appreciated.

  1. Hi,

Go to www.irs.gov and when you get there look at the links at the top of the page under the IRS logo. There is one that says something like "Where's my stimulus payment?" Click on that one and you will be taken to a page where you will see some tables. One is for direct deposit and the second one is for paper checks. The checks are sent out by the last 2 numbers of your Social Security number. My stimulus check is coming in late June. I noticed when I checked the table for paper checks, the date had been put back a week (from June 20 to June 27) so from that I gather that they are running behind. You will get your check. Hang in there!

  2. go to www.irs.gov website..They can give you more information on when your check should arrive and how much you should get and etc..

  3. You will be the last group to get the check, because they do by last 2 SSN order.  You check will be mailed no later than July 11, probably 3-5 business day after that you should getting you check.  Direct Deposit get it last month..

  4. Visit IRS website for you answer.  WWW.IRS.GOV; wheres my stimulus and use the Stimulus calculator to find out when to expect the rebate and how much you qualify for.  The website is the best place to get a correct answer.  It all has to do with when you filed and how you requested the payment to be issued.

Good luck it will be in your hands before you know it.    We received ours at the time the website stated.

  5. A lot of people have thought they were getting direct deposit but for whatever reason aren't, so are assuming they'll get it earlier than they really are.  For example, if you had a tax prep place do your return and had your fees taken out of your refund, you aren’t eligible for direct deposit.

Check your bank statement from when the original refund came - if it says "US Treasury" you should be OK for direct deposit as long as that account is still open, and you didn’t split your refund into multiple accounts. Otherwise, you’ll get a paper check

Since the first round of direct deposits is done, it sounds likely that you'll be getting a paper check.

For last 2 digits 98, your payment would be sent out by July 11.

  6. Check the IRS.GOV website, click the link for the stimulus check dates, That should tell you an almost exact date

  7. The last batch are supposed to be mailed out on July 11, including yours.  That is for people who filed on time and didn't have any snags, like offsets waiting to claim their refunds, amendments that could slow everything down.  Those people will get there's by October unless they filed just too late for that.  In that case they will get theirs as part of next year's refund.

  8. About 60% of the stimulus checks have been issued.   The IRS will continue to issue them through 12/31/2008.

The IRS appears to be pretty much on target with their check dates...so if you filed before 4/1 and had a refund, you can expect it around then.

  9. You will get your stimulus check when you get it.  Never count on money that is not in your account.  Be patient.
