How long before bed should i take lunesta?

It should tell you on the package/ bottle.  I'd take it right before going to bed. Ask you doctor that prescribed it.

about a 1/2 hour to an hour but make sure you are "winding down" after you take it.  it is a sleep aid meaning it helps you to fall asleep, it doesn't make you sleep.

Within 30 - mins.. before you plan on going to bed for the night. If taken sooner, you will feel the effects ( drowsiness, for example ) that Lunesta can cause. It is meant to be taken shortly before bedtime. It is recommended that you take it with a full glass of water. Avoid taking this medication one hour after eating a high fat or heavy meal as this will make it harder for the body to absorb.
