It can take a long time.  First IRS sends the refund to another part of the Treasury Department called Financial Management Services who will hold the check for a period to ensure no injured spouse claim is approved against it.  Then it is sent to the Child support office in your county who will pay you.

I just called friend of the court and asked this same question, it takes 6-10 weeks before you will get it.
