How long before my birthday should I start to arrange a party? ?

I am going to be 30 in May, I have not had a party before other than for my wedding. I know the venue I want and it comes with a DJ, it is the same place I had my wedding party but how soon should I book the venue and sort out invitations?

If you are definite there are not going to be any changes then I would book ASAP to avoid disappointment

at least 2 months before. Send out invites 6 weeks before!

Get a friend or your husband to organise it. It's so tacky when someone throws themselves a party...

If there's a certain venue you want I would get it booked NOW!  May is a busy month for weddings so get in there as soon as you can. Invites probably don't need to go out until a couple of months before though

Hi there, i was 30 last may and i had a birthday party in my garden, it was an 80's fancy dress party, it was wicked. But i did start to plan it about october time, but if you have got to hire things like venues & DJ then you better start now babe!!! Good luck & enjoy being 30 its not that bad....im having loads of fun! XX

Id say in about February/March, but I'm always planned well ahead, so possibly March/April
