  1. Nose piercings can close surprisingly fast, even when healed, considering they are at a small gauge (anything below 12g). Once cartilage contracts it can be a pit painful to try to get the jewelry back in, but possible, if it's only been out for a day. It works differently for everyone. I suggest to experiment by removing the jewelry for an hour, then seeing how easily it goes back in. Then for 2, then 3, etc. If you'll have trouble getting it back in after say 3 hours, then you can wear a retainer in your nostril.

  2. I don't have my nose pierced, but I would say that after a year, it should be healed. You might want to check with a studio that does piercings and see what the technician says.

    Hope that helps!

  3. no it wont, or at least in shouldn't do.

however with this piercing it is best not to take the ring out for long so buy a piercing retaining (can be found on ebay and through google) they are clear pieces of plastic that fit in the hole and can not be seen once in.

    hope that helps.
