How long before pepper plant blossoms and gives pepper?

Peppers are like old men and take their time.  Mine this year have taken their sweet three months to even grow any peppers!  Must be all the below-normal summer temperatures this year as peppers like constant 80-85F weather best, with warm, moist soils.

I grow some Charleston Hot Peppers in my office at work under a light.  I used enriched potting soil and keep them perfectly watered.  SInce there isn't any wind in the office, I have to "dust" the flowers with a soft brush to stir up the pollen and germinate.  After the blooms fall off, I see pepper buds in about 7-10 days.  The pepper gets to be full-size in about 2-3 weeks and then "ripens" to the heat level I need in another 2-3 weeks.  They are fun to watch (and better to eat).
