  1. About 3 weeks before, it gives the guests that are going to both the wedding and the shower time to put money aside for gifts.

Any later and you will find it hard to make time for it, you will be running around doing last touches.

  2. One or two months before would be ideal.

A week or two before the wedding is getting to crunch time for the bride, and it could be too busy. She should be able to enjoy it.

If the bride or other close family dont live in town, having the shower even much earlier is fine. I was thrown a shower about 10 months before the wedding, it was during Christmas when everyone was home for the holidays. Otherwise, it would not have been possible to get everyone together.

    Use your best judgement.

  3. My wedding shower is scheduled about three weeks before the wedding! Hope that helps, Good Luck!!

  4. I guess it would depend on your calendar and if you have a house/apartment to put all your new stuff in.

I am going to a bridal shower in two days and her wedding is in the first weekend of September.

I'd say probably no earlier than 60 days before your wedding and no later than a week before your wedding.

  5. Anywhere from 8 weeks before the wedding  . . . to one day before wedding.  Really, it is okay to have it whenever is convenient for your hostess (or hostesses).

Most showers I have attended recently have been about 4 weeks before the wedding.

  6. Had mine two days before because a lot of people were coming in from out of town.  We asked for personal gifts, or no gifts at all.  I didn't think it was fair to expect people to give a shower gift AND a wedding gift.  I got lots of nighties and bubble bath.  It was mostly just a time to relax with the girls.  Trust me...you hardly get to see them during the wedding.

So whenever you or the hostess wants it.  That is the perfect time.

  7. Depends on how long before the wedding someone plans on throwing the bride a bridal shower. I've seen some showers that were months before the wedding, and some that were just days before. It all depends on who throws it and what the schedule looks like.

  8. You should have the shower whenever is best for you and whoever is helping you throw the shower. It does not matter how far away it is from the wedding in this day in age! I am getting married on Oct. 18 and I am having my shower on Aug. 2nd. I have school in the fall, so I am doing it nice and early to get it out of the way. Congratulations and Good Luck!

  9. You didn't mention you are from which country etc....Every where you get a speciality..
