How long before u can wash ur chemically straightened hair?

my hairdresser said three days i leave it alone then after i could do whatever i want with it... she said after that every two days i could wash it.. but i know this other person and she said that u have to leave it alone for two weeks! and i really want to put cute headbands and clips and stuff....... what should i do? should i just leave it alone for a couple more days? i had it in a headband yestedrday and nothing really happened.....

I chemically straighten my hair with perm solution and I don't wash it for 3 days and I don't use elastics or clips for a week. It is a pain in the butt having your hair in your face ALL the time, but its worth it not to have a permanent kink.
