  1. If you just started you should probably compete in beta, with a short program and usually a coach should make you're routine.


  2. Freeskate:  I was more comfortable having as much time as possible . . . a couple months at least preferably.    

    Interpretive:  I've done it in a month or less, but again, I preferred at least a couple months.

    We worked on both programs at the same time.  The freeskate (the "technical") was more crucial, so we tried to finish that up first and asap (there was always some tweeking of it along the way).  

    My coach choreographed all my programs . . . but I also had a hand in it (like what I wanted in certain parts of the music).  

    USFSA Adult Gold (although I haven't skated in 4 years now!).
