How long before you knew he/she was " The One"?

Just wondering ! How long of dating until you looked at your significant other and thought " Spending the rest of my life with this person sounds like a good idea "

It took me a couple months to realize that he was the one because our relationship was so different than my others and what hollywood says it's supposed to be.  It's better than I ever imagined though!  He's my best friend and I'm so lucky to have found him!

it wasn't  long (i think it was under a month-lol) he made me hot chocolate and said i had some whipping cream on my lip..he backed me into a wall and kissed me (oooh i still get all tingly thinking about it!!)

he said he knew i was the one 'when i fell head over heels' for him..LITERALLY! we were on a walk and i triped and fell into a mud puddle..haha so classy

18 days.

Well, really it was before that (I know, I know).  We met and fell madly in love instantly.  He proposed 18 days after our first date.  We got married 9 months later (and no, we weren't/aren't pregnant!!!).  He is my perfect fit in every way.

He walked up to me and said hi, which is something hardly anyone has ever done to me (I tend to be an outcast for one reason or another)

I just knew, my love instinct came over and my heart started beating all fast, and it felt like a hot air was blowing around inside of me.

It was mad crazy.

But I knew he'd be the one.

Plus the fact that sometimes when we would fight and I would try to leave, he wouldn't let me go, and would sit infront of the door so I couldn't get out.

I dated mine for almost two yrs before I thought he was who I wanted to grow old with.

It took me a while, I would say 9-10 months.  I had been hurt in some previous relationships so I was pretty cautious.  But we came to a point where some big decisions had to be made and I realized that, even though it would be tough, I wanted to go through it with him.  That's when I knew I was in for doing everything with him.

After our first kiss on our second date. We discussed getting married after our third date. We'll celebrate 2 years of dating on 8/1/08 and are getting married 8/1/09.

I met him when I was 13 but we didn't start dating until ten years later!
