How long can Chanderpaul keep up his Bradman like performances..?

In his last 11 Tests (since Brian Lara left the team), beginning with the England tour, he has scored five hundreds in his 1265 runs at 105.41. In 18 ODIs over the same period, he has scored two centuries and six half-centuries in his 800 runs at 88.88.

How much longer can Shiv Chanderpaul keep this Golden run going?

Who agree that Chanderpaul is the best batsmen in the world at the moment?

Is it a co-incidence that Chanderpaul's amazing run started when Lara retired?

Shiverine Chanderpaul IS the next Brian Lara..

He is AWESOME..

I think when Brian Lara retired it actually gave Shiv the limelight and he was able to shine even more,pretty hard to get the runs when Lara was always hogging the strike..LOL..

I think he will only get better..

Chandrapaul has got a lot of Potential with him. He should be confident and has to play with zeal. HE can continue his golden run for an year or 2

HEs unbelievably conisistant.. and perform really well after lara Exit.. i think one more year hes will perform like this.

I go by the performances in the last one year. I do not agree that Chanderpaul is the best batsman at the moment, though his performances are very high class.

Chanderpaul played 8 test matches and scored 819 runs in 9 innings. Sehwag played 8 matches and scored 1,002 runs in 14 innings. Mahela played 10 matches and scored 1,127 runs in 15 innings.

In ODIs, he played 15 matches and scored 598 runs in 8 innings. During the same time, Tendulkar played 22 matches and scored 936 runs in 21 innings. Cook, McCullum and Hayden fared better than Chanderpaul but lesser than Tendulkar.

Even when Lara was there their performances were not related to each other's. Mostly Lara excelled as he was a unique batsman (4th all time best after Bradman, Headley and Hobbs) but few times Chanderpaul did well.
