  1. HIV does not do well in saliva. There is a natural protein in saliva that "deactivates" HIV. This has been proved in laboratory studies. With this being said, there is still a theoretic risk of infection to the exposure you asked about. If there is a cut or sore in the receiving person's mouth the risk increases.

  2. If the person is infected, than it can last forever. If the person is not infected and gets HIV-infected sperm in their mouth, they could get infected.

  3. If a person gets a fluid with HIV in their mouth they are going to do one of 2 things, spit it out or swallow. If you spit, it's not there to infect you, if you swallow the acid in your stomach would kill the HIV.So the time it is there is minimal and the risk for HIV is very low. Now if you had an open sore or just had a tooth pulled that would be a different story as there would be an open wound to allow the HIV to enter the body.

So, HIV would not lat in a person's mouth over a few seconds- I hope this was helpful.
