Assuming I'm frugal with the heat (not on when not home and never above 65)? There are only two of us and we live in a small house, about 1000 sq feet. We live in Rhode Island.

  1. I will try to answer this one.

An oil burner has a spray nozzle on the end of it and it has a # stamped on it. An oil supplier has a chart that shows how much oil that nozzle uses per hour of burn time.

so this in turn tells U how many hours you can run an oil burner on 175 gallons of fuel.

  2. In the summer it will last all sumer if your hot water is electric. In the winter it will last 3 to 5 weeks depanding what month and how cold it is.

  3. Today's home heating oil is darned expensive. Purchase an electric ceramic heater and use it. They heat small roooms. My wife likes  to have it heat the  bathroom while she showers. use them together and the fuel oil will ladst longer. RI,nice...lived there once.
