How long can I record something on Windows Movie Maker?

I am actually just recording something that I had on my voice recorder and recording it onto windows movie maker because I have to return the voice recorder to a friend. I was wondering how long I can make it? Its only audio, no videos or pictures. Thanks!

i suppose this would depend on your hard disk space and since it is only audio, relatively smaller file than those with video.

You can try having your wmmaker on narration (Tools/narrate timeline) just leave that on until it stops on its own.

Further, the quality of a recording is dependent on a lot of factors, not solely on app.

Windows movie maker is probably the worst tool to use.  WMM is simply a cheesy built in application of Windows that will give you poor results.
