  1. its normally 3 months,once in Australia you can apply to extend it but if denied you must leave......only in certain circumstances is 12 months granted

    you would be better off applying for a 12 month working holiday visa that way you can pick up work to help pay your way

  4. lol this is kinda random as im 14 but in 3 days im leaving to go to austalia i heard my mum and dad talking and they said 3 months and then my uncle said he had to ring them up in australia because of a 2 month expiry date.. sorry if this is a waste of your time

  5. My wife and I had a 12 month holiday visa.

    You will be required to explain in some detail (written) how you are financially supporting yourself and why you wish to be granted a 12 month visa. The application form can be downloaded..

    The descision was remarkably fast. You have to send all documents and revidence required by secure post (use the post office) with return postage paid for a sae. We sent our application to Australia House on a thursday and ove visa arrivd back at at our house the following Tuesday!
