  1. If you are a citizen of the United States, Canada, Mexico, or the European Union you do not require a visa to visit Ireland. Alternatively if you are a passport holder from one of the following countries listed on the website below you also do not need a visa.

    http://www.irelandemb.org/howto.html

If you do not require a visa or if you do and are traveling on visit/holiday visa then the maximum duration of your stay cannot exeed 90days.

  2. If you're from the EU you can stay as long as you like, though there may be problems eventually with jobs and tax and the like (unless you're from the mainland UK, in which case it gets *really* complicated).

If you're from the USA, the arrangement is at the very least reciprocal - that is, you can stay in Ireland as a visitor, visa free, for up to three months, possibly longer.

Ireland is not a country with a well established habit of deporting tourists from its shores simply because they've stayed a long while - particularly if those tourists hail from the far side of the Atlantic. I wouldn't worry about it. You probably can't find much info because it's not really a big deal. For all the info you're likely to need, contact the Irish Dept. of Foreign Affairs, they have a website with FAQ, and people you can contact.

If you're not from North America or the EU, the situation may be a little stricter, I don't know. Like I said, go the website.

  3. Are you an American citizen?  if so, you may visit in ireland for up to 3 months without a visa.  See website below and read under  "entry reauirements."
