Question:

How long can Withdrawal Symptoms of Zoloft last?

I was put on 50mg's of Zoloft after having my child as treatment for Post Partum depresssion. After 6 months I was ready to be taken off this medicine. At first I did it cold turkey - yes, big mistake. So, I took a full dosage for a week, and then gradually weaned myself off of it, every 5 days, one half. I've done with the weaning (the pills couldn't get any smaller), it's been about 3 weeks. I'm very dizzy. Like... when you're underwater and then finally get air? Very fatigued. And I see things out of the corner of my vision all the time. But they aren't there. It's very annoying.

Does anyone know how long this will last? And do these symptoms seem familiar to anyone?

  1. Up to a month and a half. Call your doctor and make sure ALL of your symptoms are normal.
