  1. I hear they can live up to 10-12 years. Mine is 4 years old and still has a ton of spunk. It all depends on the quality of life you give your chinchilla, a happy healthy chinchilla can live a long time.  


  2. Generally they're going to live probably 9-14 years. Though there have been a few that have lived to be as old as 20 years old.
