  1. a healthy betta can live up to seven yrs.... although the average age they live to is about 4 yrs old.

  2. 4 years

  3. 4-5 years

  4. depending how old when you get it up to about 4-5 years at a push. normally 2-3 years.

  5. 2 years average, but they can live for at least 5 years that I know of.  But not in a bowl.  For a long, healthy life, provide at least a 2.5 gallon tank with a heater.  Water temp needs to be 76-82 F with weekly water changes and tank cleaning.

  6. They're lifespan can be 7 years.  You need to keep it in a filtered heated 5 gallon tank minimum.  Feed it sparingly and make sure the tank is cleaned weekly with partial water changes and gravel vacuuming.

It is totally a myth that betta's enjoy being kept in small spaces and that they only live a few months.
