  1. Because of their low metabolic rate, centipedes do not require a large food intake. One or two crickets, mealworms or waxworms every three or four days is a sufficient intake for small centipedes.

  2. The real question is, how long can you wait for the bug you got in that glass jar to die.  He-he-HEEEE!

  3. depends on kind of  insect it is..

  4. Depends entirely on the breed of insect...

However, it is claimed that a cockroach can last a week without any food or water. I would treat this with skeptisim though - there are a lot of cockroach myths out there.

  5. My rhinocerous beetle was fine when it lasted 1 day without food and water.. I'm guessing 3 days.. Smaller insects die quicker.. a house fly in like a day..

  6. Insects get the fluids the need from the foods they eat.  Still an insect can go a long time without eating.  Some insect in their adult form never eat.  Just stay alive long enough to reproduce.  But it all depends on which species of insect.  There is no such thing as an average insect.
