I have heard that tourists from eu and usa can get one year electronic visa for australia.

How many time could that be renewed in other words could I stay in AUS for one year and then leave for a month and then come back for another year?

Could one just keep doing that or is there a limit?

  1. a tourist visa is for tourists, you cant keep renewing it

also you may not work, you cant get free medical

immigration will get suspicous if you apply to renew, thay will want to see you have enough money in the bank to cover the time of any visa you apply for, including the first one

  2. Note that during the time you are in Australia you are not permitted to work or get medical/social security benefits.

People that are caught working are deported and prohibited from re-entering for a period of time, if allowed in again at all.

  3. This is the best site for information about Australian visas and conditions including visa extensions. It is also where you can lodge an online visa application.

    http://www.immi.gov.au/

You should be aware that tourist visas will only be granted to genuine tourists and will not be extended unless you have a bona fide tourist reason for doing so.

  4. You can chose to apply for either a maximum stay of six or twelve months per visit. The visa will be valid for 12 months from date of issue for you to arrive into Australia and so long as you enter Australia before your visa expires, you will be able to stay for your maximum stay.
