How long can an unused CCM v20 stick last?

It is my favorite stick. The wood is very denty and stuff. like you can feel the wood swirls and stuff...is that normal...its not very cheap in my opinion.!

  1. For outdoor roller hockey, it might last you about 10 games or so depending on how many plays you make with it. For play on asphalt, I have a Koho that lasts a bit longer - your v20 has a wood core in the blade and that speeds up the delamination. It's pretty good stick for indoor roller hockey on sport court, but I wouldn't use it on the ice. On ice you generally want something lighter, either a two-piece composite combo stick or if you insist on using wood, something fibreglass or graphite reinforced, like a Sherwood 7000 or 9950 .. or the Easton Finnish Shaft series.


  2. Well if you don't use it then it will last pretty long.

    Seriously, though, I don't know. Depends on what level and what level of competition you're playing at. For example, someone playing Junior A hockey is more likely to break his/her stick than someone playing Mites.

    Usually, with a wood stick, you'll be able to see and feel the knots, so it's fine.
