How long can babies go without eating?

You are suppose to feed them every 2 hrs but I think the most they can go without fussing is 3. Sometimes when they go longer it is b/c they were asleep or somthing like that.

newborn- a couple hours

infant- 3 to 4+ hours

It all really depends on baby.

It is very important for a newborn to eat frequently if he has jaundice or you will be taking him back to the hospital. I learned from experience.

hi, new born child well 2 hours or sometimes an hour and a half. infant baby, 3-4 hours. now why on earth do you want to know this for?as for the "before they expire" thing, there NOT a piece of meat that goes off you know. good luck
