How long can bbq sauce be open for?asap plz!

I opened a bottle of bbq sauce a few weeks ago and was wondering if it was still good.The expiration date isn't for a while but how long can you keep the bottle in the fridge for? is it the same as ketchup? we usually keep ketchup for a month or two before throwing it out.

Same as for ketchup, the amount of preservative in it will keep it going for ages.

I never worry about an expiration date on bbq sauce as long as I've kept it in the fridge in a covered container.  I had some in my fridge for over a year because I had moved into my dad's til he died.  It was fine.  There's so much vinegar or other acid in bbq sauce, it won't go bad.

This assumes you don't contaminate the sauce with your baster or anything else.  I don't throw out my refrigerated ketchup either!

No need to be throwing anything like ketchup or B-B-Q sauce out after only a couple of months. Things are actually good for up to a year after the sell by date.
