How long can contact lenses last in their original bottles?

Question

I'm currently out of US right now and planned on bringing back some contacts from my home country (because they are cheaper)

They aren't those acuvue type ones where you chuck away after you use them for a day or 2 weeks, these are the ones that last for like 10 months to a year if taken care of correctly.

I was wondering if I can keep them in their original bottles for awhile? (the little glass bottles contacts come in) Will this keep it fresh for a long time (like up to a year?) I'm pretty sure i'll open it before then but I was just curious. Is there a expiration date on a never opened bottle of contact lenses?

There should be an experation date on them....

Yes they have dates on them i am not to sure on how long they last but i did buy some contact lenses on line last year and out of Ten only 7 were good the rest of them were dryed up and they were in the same packaging i got them.

yes u can as long as there is contact solution in there.
